Vulcanair Aircraft, over twenty-five years of excellence in design and manufacturing GA aircraft

Vulcanair was established in 1996 with private capital with the aim of becoming a respected General Aviation manufacturer worldwide.
Between 1996 and 1998 Vulcanair purchased all the assets, type designs, trademarks and rights of Partenavia and the SF600 Series Program including type certificates, tooling and rights from Siai Marchetti.

Our aircraft

The A-VIATOR is the simple, safe, yet not obvious answer to a large number of operators. Up till now operators did not have any alternative than spending fortunes in very old gas guzzling twin engine antiquated aircraft or having to revert to less safe single engine turboprop aircraft.

The A-VIATOR is an economical non pressurized twin engine turboprop answering to a multiple array of needs from private/charter operations to advanced airborne surveillance and aerial work missions.

The A-VIATOR  design is derived from the smaller P68 Series and its legendary flight qualities have been maintained.

The fuselage has been stretched to allow more space on board and 2 turbine powerplants replace the piston engines allowing the aircraft to operate in areas where AvGas is not readily available.

The retractable landing gear improves the already excellent speed characteristics, and the stretched fuselage allows a more efficient use of cabin space, resulting in a maximum seating capacity of 9 passengers and 2 pilots.

New Cockpit

The A-Viator has dual controls but can be flown without any restrictions with one or two pilots. The pilot doors on the forward right and left hand side of the fuselage offer easy access to the cockpit.

The avionic suite is modern yet conservative to complement the utilitarian aspects of the aircraft with its modern deployment aspirations. The A-VIATOR features a Garmin G950 three screens avionic suite coupled with a Genesys Aerosystems S-TEC 2100 digital autopilot.

Design

The A-Viator is powered by two Rolls-Royce 250-B17F/1 engines flat-rated at 328 SHP at 2030 rpm. The engines drive Hartzell three-blade, constant speed, fully feathering, reversible pitch propellers.

The excellent engine characteristics allow the aircraft to deliver:

  • superior performance relative to piston aircraft
  • excellent weight/power ratio
  • fuel economy
  • low emissions, low noise
  • reverse thrust
  • high TBO

Performance

The excellent performance and economics of the A-Viator can be summarized as follows:

  • low operating costs (low drag and low fuel consumption)
  • operation from short, unprepared airstrips
  • twin engine safety and reliability
  • ease of maintenance
  • excellent payload
  • low noise levels
  • outstanding versatility
  • full IFR capability

Customer support

Vulcanair assures comprehensive worldwide product support, both directly and through its dealer network. Maintenance, overhaul and repair operations can be carried out at the Vulcanair Service Centre or at authorized centres worldwide.

Efficient and prompt technical assistance is assured by Vulcanair technical representatives for AOG and other emergencies. The 250 B17 F engines are serviced worldwide by the large network of Rolls-Royce representatives and by their numerous authorized maintenance centers.
