Il dibattito sull'autonomia strategica europea è ripreso. Utilizzata e approvata per la prima volta dall'Unione europea senza troppi clamori nel 2013, entro l'autunno del 2020 l'autonomia strategica europea era diventata un concetto contestato. Incarnando un'agenda intellettuale e politica per navigare in un mondo in profonda trasformazione, rappresenta una luce guida per un ruolo globale dell'UE più consequenziale, ma non privo di dilemmi. Grattando sotto la superficie, cosa significa autonomia strategica europea? Perché è emerso come un tema di primo piano nel dibattito politico e politico europeo? Perché è controverso?
